GENERAL INFORMATION This site has so far been devoted to the German forces in Normandy. The reason for this has been a book project I have been working on. This book has now been completed, printed and is ready for sale. It discusses several important issues pertaining to Normandy, like: - How many German soldiers fought in Normandy - What were the German losses in Normandy - Why did the Germans not bring units more quickly to Normandy - How efficient were the German forces - What effect did allied air power have on German operations - The German tanks in Normandy - German unit organization Also there is a complete OB, where every participating unit is given data similar to that presented on this site. The book does however include all units. Further data is presented in several appendices. Also a few other historians are sharply critized. The title of the book is "Normandy 1944, German Military Organization, Combat Power and Organizational Effectiveness". The ISBN number is 0-921991-56-8.
